Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Mirror is built on a simple principle: your content is yours. We analyze it, we don't keep it.

1. Who We Are

Mirror ("mirror.", "we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered social media analysis tool available at seeyourself.vercel.app. We help users understand how their social media presence appears to recruiters, colleges, dates, and the general public across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter / X, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Threads.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what you choose to give us:

Content you submit — post captions, profile bios, photo uploads, and usernames you paste or type into Mirror for analysis.
Platform data (with your permission) — if you connect a social account via Login Kit (e.g., TikTok), we request limited read-only access to your public profile information and post metadata (display name, avatar, bio, video list). We never request write access, posting permissions, or private messages.
Usage data — anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g., which analysis mode was selected). No personal identifiers are tied to this.
No account required — Mirror does not require you to create an account or provide your email address to use the core product.

3. How We Use Your Data

Any content you submit is used solely to generate your AI analysis and is not stored beyond your active session. Specifically:

• Your posts and profile content are sent to our AI inference provider (Groq) to produce your analysis results.
• We do not store, log, or retain your submitted content after your session ends.
• We do not use your content to train AI models.
• We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any form.

4. Third-Party Services

Mirror uses the following third-party services to operate:

Groq — AI inference provider that processes the content you submit to generate analysis. Groq's privacy policy applies to data processed through their service.
Vercel — Hosting and deployment platform. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) as part of normal hosting operations.
TikTok Login Kit — If you choose to connect your TikTok account, TikTok's OAuth flow is governed by TikTok's own Privacy Policy. Mirror only receives the scopes you explicitly authorize.
Instagram, Twitter / X, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads — These platforms are not directly integrated at this time. Any content from these platforms is provided manually by you.

We do not integrate third-party advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking pixels.

5. Platform Integrations & OAuth

When you connect a social media account to Mirror via OAuth (e.g., "Login with TikTok"):

• You will be shown a consent screen by the platform listing exactly what permissions Mirror is requesting.
• Mirror requests read-only, minimum necessary scopes. We will never request permissions to post, follow, message, or modify your account.
• You can revoke Mirror's access at any time through your platform's security settings.
• Revoking access does not affect any analysis you have already received.

6. Data Retention

Mirror is designed to be stateless. We do not maintain a database of user-submitted content. Analysis results exist only in your browser session. Once you close the tab or refresh the page, your submitted content and results are gone from our systems.

The only exception is standard server access logs maintained by Vercel for security and uptime purposes, which are retained per Vercel's data retention policy.

7. Children's Privacy

Mirror is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through Mirror, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of any data processing

Because Mirror does not store your submitted content, most of these rights are satisfied by design. For any questions or requests, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Mirror adds new features (such as additional platform integrations). When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Mirror after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
